§ 5.5-11. Rates.

  • (a)

    The rates and charges to be made and collected by the grantee for cable television service and approved in the franchise agreement, shall not be increased without the prior formal approval of the board of county commissioners for the county, after a public hearing.

    (b)

    The board of county commissioners for the county reserves the right and authority to review the schedule of service and installation charges (rates) approved. Such review shall be made for the purpose of appropriate adjustment of such rates so as to be fair and reasonable to both the grantee and the subscriber in the delivering and receiving of first-class cable television service of the highest caliber.

    (c)

    This section on rates and subsections (a) and (b) above shall apply only to those rates which the county may regulate by law.
