§ 3-40. Parking in space reserved for handicapped.

On-street parking shall be permitted for the physically handicapped in those areas shown on the traffic map sheets by Legend H and designated for the physically handicapped by the use of a sign or device set forth in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and clearly marked. It shall be unlawful to park or leave standing any vehicle in a space designated for physically handicapped persons when such vehicle does not display the distinguishing license plate or placard as provided in G.S. 20-37.6, and where appropriate signs or symbols giving notice thereof are erected marking the designated parking space.
