§ 14-81. Administration.

(a)

The county planning and development department and county sheriff's department are jointly and mutually responsible for the administration and enforcement of this article.

(b)

The county may contract with private tow truck operators or towing businesses to remove, store, and dispose of abandoned, junked, and nuisance vehicles in compliance with this article and applicable state laws.

(c)

Nothing in this article shall be construed to limit the legal authority or powers of officers or the employees of the county or state in enforcing other laws or in otherwise carrying out their duties with regard to abandoned, junked, or nuisance motor vehicles.
